ROADTRIP!!!!
Tomorrow, Kt, I mean Yan, and I are hitting the road. She is going on her last official out-of-town trip for our agency. I'm going for a ride in the car. We are heading off to Bowman. She is looking at an old house that may or may not be eligible to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. I'm going because it will be an opportunity for us to spend a day together before she moves on. Geez, just typing that makes me tear up. These next couple of weeks are going to suck big time.
Tug and I spent a great deal of time in Bowman during high school....it's where all the cute boys lived! In fact one of our more "infamous" capers involved a trip to Bowman. We each told our parents we were staying with the other and drove over to Bowman, came back the next day. We really thought we were smart...We had fun though. Met a cute boy named Duh-wayne. He was tall, drove a Chevette. He wanted to take a shower with me. Weird. Not sure that it was worth being grounded until I was 42.
Tomorrow's trip will make a new memory. It will be fun, but sad. Great friends like Yan don't come along every day....

HAVE FUN!! Make sure your tires are in good shape 'cause um...yeah. ;-)
K was born in Bowman, too. *sigh* Let me know if you see Duh-wayne or Dennis! LOL
I think I dated Duh-wayne too
I know how you feel about Yan. Its very hard to say goodbye. You will stay in touch, but we all know it won't be the same kind of relationship. But you WILL stay friends.
Have a great trip.

Have fun! And stay away from boys in Chevettes. I thought it was just my experience, but evidently they're all weird.
We saw very few people in Bowman. They were all watching basketball, because people out here are CRAZY for high school basketball. Seriously. It takes over NBC. Bizarro world.
And the house IS eligible, but I needed decent photos to prove it, since the ones I took last year were low rez and a little crooked.
Now you will HAVE to come visit. Can't promise giant cows, though.
